Welcome to equigetic
Born into a family that always put horses first, my path seemed to be set from day one. My dad was an international showjumper and produced horses from youngsters to Grand Prix level. My mum studied veternary medicine and I sat in the saddle before I could walk.
I rode successfully up to Grand Prix Level and also competed international in Showjumping. After having a family I worked for a company called Equistro, that sold feed supplements for horses.
Being gifted with a special sense for horses and their needs I started a training to become a horse physiotherapist when my two sons got older. At that time I owned a horse that was lame for over a year and no vet could help him. All the vets and specialists had no idea and it seemed as if there was no happy end for him.
As a last try my best friend gave me the number of a lady that worked with homeopathics. I was skeptical. When the lady had left I went back into the house and told my husband:“ If this works- I am going to learn it.“
After only one week my horse started to put weight on his leg again and after 3 weeks he was sound, happily galopping around the field and never put a foot wrong after.
From that moment I started to learn about homeopathic treatment and how to test it. Took courses in mental and physical healing – attended workshops with highly recommended horse therapists and most luckily had the chance to work with the top horse Physio- and Osteopaths in the USA and Canada.
Being able to sence what the horse actually feels and treat them not only physical, but also on the mental side formed equigetic.
I work in the biggest horse training center in Germany with high class Showjumpers and Dressage horses. Since 2018 I also have the FEI Liscense to work on FEI Horseshows – since none of my treatments are doping or against the FEI rules.
Treating so many types of horses, different ages and level of training, I kept running into horses with a blocked sternum and great pain in the ribs and the connected muscles. Not being able to find the right type of girth to not only to reduce, but to keep the pressure of the sternum constantly I started to create a pad to solve this problem. I wanted to help all the horses- no matter dressage, eventing or pleasure riding and therefore create a pad that could be attached to all kind of different girths.
